Alisha Navarro

Alisha here. Collar Guru extraordinaire. Creator of Big Ideas who always takes on “just one more project” because “Oh my gosh, it will be so cool/fun/hilarious!”.

I’m the ringleader, I suppose. The Savvy Hound started out as “just” an ordinary idea back in October/November 2007 and when I explained to my husband he said “why”. Why. Huh. Well, because it sounded like fun!

I have had a blast putting this together and rounding up contributors and I hope you will have a blast reading it all!

Xan Blackburn

Hi. Xan here. That’s pronounced “ZAN”, rhymes with “tan”, “man”, “plan”, “fan”, “ran”, “can” …… Get the idea?

I’m the artist around here.

When we got our first greyhound, Brilly, I fell into the online greyhound community and suddenly a whole new world of art opened up for me. Most of my work now revolves around greyhounds: portraits, cartoons, greeting cards, adoption group logos and graphics…. I love all the critters, but greyhounds surround me these days, so there you go! I never have to look far for inspiration, now that I have four of my own, but people are very generous sharing their hounds for me to work from as well.

The waffle in my avatar is a reference to my True Name, as Revealed to me through a series of Strange and Mysterious Incidents. {cue musical saw} My True Name turns out to be Unruly Waffle.

Go figger.
